Naturalistic BD cage pic.

Chris P. Nov 07, 2004 06:16 PM

The cage is approximately 4W x 3H x 2D. The rock was carved out of polystyrene. I filled gaps in the polystyrene with expandable foam in a can. I covered the polystyrene with sand colored tile grout. After the grout hardened for a couple days, I sealed it with a water based grout sealer. While the sealer was still wet, I put two different colors of sand on it. The plants are fake. After a couple of months with a sub adult BD in the cage it has held up pretty well. It can be tough to clean, and the pexiglass has gotten scratched up, but overall, it still looks pretty good.

Nice setup, Where did you get that back ground at? I've been looking for a back ground for my cage for a few months now.

Nice loking setup! WOuld it be easier to clean if you put some sort of a clear sealer over it and made it a slicker surface to wipe or is that the problem....Just curious. Really great job!
