Hello... I was wondering if some of you ringneck herpers could help me out here. I was out herping yesterday....Found a few things then flipped some carpet and found my 1st ringneck... it is really cool looking..and it did some hella werid sh!t with it's red tail it was funny.. 5 minutes later flipped another board and got another ringneck... looks different than the 1st though.. I was told that these things dont even range here... im in Houston tx.. What kind could they be..? they look to be 2 different kinds... what do they eat..? how do you sex them..? can they be housed together..? DO i need to post pix 4 you guys to be able to tell me what kind they are.. or can u tell me just by the locale of them... ne info would be awesome.. thanx.. Mike

they are undoubtedly regal ringnecks, but id like to see what you mean by different, and pics are fun anyways.

How were they undoubtedly regals? Couldn't of been because of location.... I saw the pics, because of the location, the size of the snakes, the patterns, etc. I determined them to be Mississippi Ringnecks, stictogenys, not regalis. There are 3 sub-species in Texas, and in plenty of places there, they all intergrade together.
