any luck with the impaction?
Hope all is well
Hey Snarks,
Well I'm a little embarased to say that she did poop. I didn't even giver her any lactulose. I fed her a few small food items with no powder and made sure she drank some water by putting some on her mouth. That night I put her roomate in a seprate container inside their tank. The next morning they had both pooped. Looks like I jumped to conclusions and wasted $100 on my paranioa.
I'm still not 100% sure that there is nothing wrong. She doesn't seem to be as healthy as my other two, but it's hard to explain. I'm not sure what that white spot in the x-ray was from, possibly just the begining of imaction, who knows?
Last night she was more active than she has been in the last three months, possibly a good sign. I'm going to see if anything eles shows up, but right now she seems pretty good.
Thank you so much for your concern. I've been meaning to write this but school, work, and the zoo have been nuts.

Awe good!!!
Well don't think of it as a waste of $100, better safe than sorry and it was a learning experience for all of us.
I'm glad they're doing ok.
The smaller prey items is really key, i find that mine will miss a day if its too large. I dunno i'm seriously thinking about switching to roaches, but you apparently need a lisence in our good ol country.
anyhue take care
I don't think I could handel roaches, just the thought of them escaping and breeding in my home freaks me out (not to mention it would definately get me evicted). I suppose crickets and mealworms are not too different, but I heard roaches multiply like crazy. Who would have thought 5 years ago that I would be housing and breeding all of these discusting bugs. I actually think after keeping them in my house, with numerous escapees, that I have developed more of a phobia of bugs than I had before. I still jump if a cricket touches me, I know I'm a wuss.
Since I haven't had the chance to get rid of all of the sand yet (next weekends job) I have been hand (tong) feeding crickets to give a little variety. Since they never stay still, and are impossible to catch with the tongs, I just put them in the freezer for a minute. They are still alive when I feed them just a little frostbit
. I have to do this every other day with my fat frog who is too lazy to feed himself. He honestly hasn't moved from the same spot since probably the last time I changed his substrate (2 maybe 3 weeks ago). It's suprising how something can live like him, his behaviour is actually very normal.
