Cornsnake duplex

tredding Nov 07, 2004 07:52 PM

I wanted to share a picture of the enclosure I just finished for my two small corn snakes. It has a removable divider down the middle so I can turn it in to one large cage for when they get bigger. I will build another cage so they can each have a good sized home when they are full grown. I used bamboo reeds for the background to give them that vietnamese concentration camp feel!

The bamboo blinds along the sides adds a real nice touch!

Where didi you get them? I look around out in the boonies for som eold fallen trees but cen never find the twisted and mangled pieces that are ideal for the snake cages. If you collected them, how did you treat them to kill any bugs etc?

Very cool cages

I live in Austin, Texas. So we went on a gettin' mission out on lake Travis. I brought back a whole canoe full of drift wood. So I will have enough for several more cages. I treated it all with a 10% bleach solution in a 50 gallon drum. I soaked everything overnight and let it dry for several days till there was no smell.

Beautiful setup. I hope you don't mind me asking but could you email me the plans (if there are any) at silverserpent5@msn.com but I will need your email address first so that my computer will not filter the email out.

Thank you
