howdy folks. i have seen these guys on tv before but have never seen them in the trade. where abouts could i look to obtain a pair? if anyone knows of a source for information on the husbandry of these cute critters pleasr that would be much appreciated as well. thanks in advance.

I believe they are illegal, and from what ive heard on them they only live in the driest extremes of Australia liveing off only 1 species of ant and absorbing condensation through their spikes. I heard they are almost impossible to keep in captivity. Sorry maybe you'll find something else.

That is completely true. They are very illegal to posess and do very badly in captivity. Though there was someone keeping them in California and doing quite well with them. He obtained them through illegal means but was having extreme success with them. Sadly his neighbor decided to call the cops and they went bye bye. I believe the animals later died due to mistreatment, hate when things like that happen. I read the article about it somewhere but can't seem to find it at the moment.
