Still amazes me the versatility of these animals to blend with the surroundings, leaves, rocks, bark....

so amazing, great pics Leah, if I did not have leaftails I would have never found him in those leaves, ehhehehehe !

But after having them for awhile it gets easier. I found him right away, even though, he just became the leaves.

My husband who admires all my lizards, but is not into them with me, could not find him, for quite some time, LOL

I have to admit, as we all probably have been through I could not find my female henk one day I looked everywhere. And then finally found her right in front of my eyes the whole time, she WAS the branch. I saw no begining and no end of her, it was the coolest thing !

Keep the pics coming !

the kid standing behind me looking at the pictures was like... why are you looking at leaves?
so i pointed them out and he was like... holy crap, how'd you spot that?

and back to pheve's note... definately had the problem spotting my geckos. mainly with my mossy leaftails. they'll hang on the backside of a mossy vine or branch and i found out the best way to find them is to feel for them rather than look for them after a minute or two of searching.

I always look for their eyeballs. Gives them away everytime, especially on the fimbriatus.

But it always makes me laugh to myself as how well blended they become to wahtever they are on.

It's like , there you are, after a few moments of the hunting them down game!
