Hey everyone,
I am considering a few different premanufactured cages to house my beardie colony in and I wondered if anyone has any direct experience with them. I was considering Sunshine cages which Kevin at Dragons Den and some others are now offering (Cagemaster I think is the manufacturer). They are one piece molded pvc based plastic enclosures. My only worry is that they have acrylic/lexan windows and I am thinking the beardies may scratch those up pretty good.
The other molded plastic cage I was considering was by precision caging but much the same scenario there - acrylic fronts pieces.
The last ones are melamine cages from custom cages. They have glass windows which I like but melamine on pressed wood runs a distant second to one piece molded plastic for a number of reasons.
I have considered vision cages too (I have them for other herps). They are great cages but I think the other choices are more attractive, and you can have the ceramic and flourescent fixtures built inside the cage on the others which I like.
Thanks for reading and input is greatly appreciated.
