Your little one is just gorgeous also....This is my first time with a boa. I have been a lurker on this forum checking out all the beautiful pics. I have had corns and rats for 2 years now, with my first successful breeding and hatching this year. I have always wanted a larger snake, and I just couldn't pass this one up. The size is just right for my first, and I am so excited to have one of these beauties. There are just so many gorgeous snakes out there that I would love to have, cay caulker, hogg island, and ATB to name a few, but space and cash are a big factor. (maybe someday ) Hope that you all like his pic, and any comments or tips would be appreciated.

Thanks and have a GREAT day!!!
Paula

Thank you. Dumerils make great pets. Very docile. And are easy to keep. Just keep your dums at 80 degrees. They like to hide under the substrate so aspen bedding is good for them. A sweaterbox style cage is best for them while they are young. Later when they get older you can set them up in a display cage. A once a week feeding and some fresh water and thats about it. Some dums are hard to switch over to rats so you may what to start yours on them as soon as you can. I have 3 dumerils and 2 will eat rats and one is being stuborn.
Anyway good luck with yours.

Very nice Dumerils. Congratulations!

I bought my Dum in the summer and he has been a real treat... eats well, handles well, and is less messy than my colubrids.
