Breeding project..........what would be good

bigdee Nov 08, 2004 04:40 PM

Ok I have a pair of adult het for albino boas and 1norm ball and 1 het ball. My boas dont seem to want to breed and the balls are too small. What would be a good snake to breed that wouldnt be too expensive, I really been wanting to breed this yr and i dont know if my boas are going to make that happen. I will attend the white plains show on the 21, Im looking for something that doesnt musk or have a bad attitude and maybe something with nice colors

Maybe cornsnakes? Lots of colors/patterns to play with and you don't even have to cool them.

if you have some funds to start with.....how about the albino (silver, blond) trans pecos?.....they will command a higher price for a number of years to come, ntm....gorgeous

corns are everywhere and people start marketting anything "new"....only to find out they are actually common imo

keith

(black rats have a number of morphs too)

I'm not sure I want popular opinion on my side -- I've noticed those with the most opinions often have the fewest facts.

A nice snake with lots of colors and not too big might be, the Brazilian Rainbow Boas...not too pricey...has decent marketability. And dont get to big.
Another choice might be Dumerils Boas, except they can get quite large.
