I had heard a couple of years ago of one or two floating around, but haven't seen any pics. Does anyone know of where to see pics or who is breeding them? Thanks

Never heard of a piebald dragon myself but if it was a few years ago, may be before my time. There are albino and transluscent dragons kicking around but to my knowledge, there have been no piebald ones.

There is a pic of a piebald dragon in USA Reptiles Annual 2003 page 98. The caption under the pic reads "This is a very unusual bearded dragon morph. It is believed to be an example of piebaldism." Hope this helps, its the only pic I know of and I have no idea who breed it.

A few years ago SatyrdayReptiles hatched out a Piebald dragon. Never have seen any pics and Liz has not seen anything like that dragon from her stuff again.

I've seen a couple that I would call piebald patterned. Without being proven I don't think that you could call them piebald though. I know 1 was on reptibid about a year or so ago, I thought it was neat but was too busy concentrating on other things to bring it in. If I remember right it didn't go for very much more than a normal.

Oh I am so bummed, I check reptibid almost every day for three years now and obviously missed out on it. I would think it would take a few years to make it proven anyway because if you breed a piebald to a normal (which it would have to be) then you would ony get 100% hets then breeding them could possibly make a percentage of piebalds am I right? Since beardies don't breed quite as fast as some lizards like Leopard geckos It would take a while to prove this. I would still love if someone knew where a pic was, I don't have that issue of the Reptiles magazine. Thanks
Since a few of you don't have the issue of reptiles I mentioned in my earlyer post, I scaned it for all to see. It is by no means my image but one I scaned for an example.

The picture was from Reptiles USA annual 2003 page 98.

I know back in the day when Fluker farms made their big move to upstage kingsnake with the big web forum, and what not, that they had a video of their farm down in central america... and on one of the shots of them feeding their big pin of normal bearded dragons, there was definitely a piebald bearded dragon in there.
In short... they exist obviously... but to me, they really are kinda ugly looking.... maybe if a true red was bred to a piebald it would be more striking, but normal with the white looks like puke to me.... although it also could lead to a pure white dragon if it could be a proven trait. My guess is it cant be a proven trait otherwise their would be a lot more in existence, and if it is a proven trait, then there are a lot more in existence just someones keeping it a secret.
