Central Fl rats?!?!?!

I was wondering if it is too cold already to have any chance of finding rat snakes around. Yellows I find at a decent rate and reds I have been blessed with finding 2. If it is possible to find them this type of year what ecosystem habitats would you suggest looking, I herp all of them but mainly longleaf pines. Any help is greatly appreciated.-Cole
