Tiger Sallie

Sti-lysh Nov 08, 2004 09:46 PM

Hi,
I just purchased a Tiger sallie from the pet store. I have noticed he has not really moved at all, i get the occassion wiggle but its in the same spot. I have mostly wet soil with a waterbowl along with a cave for it. Should I take him back tomorrow or wait and see what happens. I also tried putting a waxworm and a cricket in front of him and he hardly flinched. Someone please help.

Wow, that sounds weird. What kind of lighting do you have? You might try diging it a whole under the soil. Other than that I don't know.

This is Mary Beth, I sold you the tiger salamander. Just wanted to say again how sorry I am about everything. I'll let you know as soon as we get another (next week).

Hello Mary Beth,
If you get anymore Tiger Salamanders I would be interested in some...I just moved with my job to North Carolina from Florida and gave the 12 I raised for 7 years from larvae I rescued from a bait store in Colorado that sold them as "waterdogs"...I gave them to lowery Park Zoo in Tampa.
I didnt want to stress them with the move.
I loved those little guys and miss them...they all seemed to be their own little person.
If you can help let me know,
Thanks,
Everett Haynes
