This is my yearling male. He's the son of the Statenville, Georgia (Echols county), 6 foot male on Keith's Eastern Kingsnake site. Picked up from Kevin Enge in the fall of 2003. Currently at 40" and eating young mice like a champ! He also sports a unique (mostly) black belly!!! All of his crossbands end at the edge of his belly. He's one of my favorites.

Here's his sister! She was the only female hatched out of 9 babies in her clutch. She also sports a mostly black belly - no white in the center, like her bigger brother. Due to an unexplained 8 month illness (where she couldn't properly digest her meals) she's only 28" currently. But as of three weeks ago recovered fully and is FINALLY eating like a pig! I thought I was going to lose her, but not anymore... Thank goodness!

Are these the two that we were talking about by email earlier? Can you snap a few pics of the belly patterns or lack there of?
Thanks,
Bob Bull

Hi Bob! Thanks for the compliments. They really are a very clean looking couple. . .I can not post pics until tomorrow night or Thursday at the earliest, because I'm at work almost 14 hours a day! I just got home, it's already after 9! But this overtime should come to an end soon! I am off on Thursday though! So, I'll get you those belly shots tomorrow night or Thursday! Thanks

Thanks Keith! Are you going to try to breed your "mouse chugger" next season? Do you have a female to match with him yet? I can't breed my little female yet, but more importantly: I STILL HAVE A FEMALE! I'm saying that because I thought I was going to lose her one day due to her illness. But at least I'll have a chance in 2006! Better than not having an opportunity at all! Take care, and let me know when your "boy" reaches 4 foot!

Yeah I have a female for him and she should be ready for 2006. Its a 2003 Dodge Co., Georgia female. I was gonna use another Enge animal but I think these guys could use an infusion of fresh genetics. There are no inbreeding problems that Im aware of but its nice to do when you can.
