Very nice David. I think when I get some spilotes again, they will be captive bred. The captive bred spilotes look a lot nicer generally. It's great to see some CB spilotes out there. I know several breeders who took a lot of the orignal wild caughts and kept working with them even though not much was written on them and survival rates could be low at times. Congratulations on getting the captive bred spilotes. She should give you a lot of enjoyment for years.

Ya know David... I think you got the prettiest girl from that clutch. I can't wait for the second clutch to go through their second shed so we can better see how they'll look.

Mine's prettier than David's.

Did your female double clutch or did you get clutches from 2 females? There were some nice clutches in 03'. I hadn't heard or read of how many clutches of spilotes that might have been dropped in 04'. Congrats on the clutches you got this season. I need to look at getting some captive bred to work with again as I miss them a lot. I had a nice pair of w/c, but I couldn't get a breeding and/or eggs. I was disappointed and let them go to separate people. I think sometimes that I should have kept them longer and worked with them more. One of my favorite snakes that I have kept. I kept them in the same enclosure and they seemed to do good that way except for breeding. I did think the female was gravid as she gained some girth real quick one time, but I think she just had a growth and girth spurt.

LdyDrgn's female actually double-clutched. The first clutch was larger and hatched out sometime in August. The second clutch was smaller and hatched out just a couple weeks ago.

Thanks for the info Bry. I had only heard of one other double clutch (I know there was probably more) that dropped in 03'. That double clutch came without introducing the male again. I think I need to send an email to LdyDrgn through one of their posts and see what might be up for this coming season. HeHe. All these pics and posts of spilotes has me missing them quite a bit.
