Assisting Pipping

Centrewood Nov 09, 2004 02:37 PM

Under what conditions/situations do you aid a Milksnake (Nelsoni) to pip/hatch by carefully slicing a small portion of the egg? I have a clutch (actually one viable egg left, others infertile) in the 57 to 70 day window published as the hatch date and with only one viable egg, want to give the little guy the best change. Thank you for your input.

I wouldn't assist the egg unless it's close to day 70.
