Our little girl (almost a year) has been doing what seem to be slow "push-ups" I can't for the life of me figure out why? I hadn't heard that this was a submissive activity, but other than that, what could it be? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

It is submissive activity. I have a male and two females. Both females will wave but only one will slowly bob her head and it does look exactly like a push up.

Or maybe not... submissive behavior. My female does it everytime he bobs at her.
