This is one of my Iredell county N.C. easterns. As luck would have it, all three of the ones I keep are in a shed phase, but this young female is least blue.

My sentimental favorite. This is the king that I grew up with in my area. Hardin county Kentucky nigra.

A Dade county bloodline "brooksi" phase floridana.

Some time in the future I plan on getting some better pics in a more naturalistic setting in the sun light.

Thanks for looking.

Thanks Keith. I'm probably looking at 06 before I will be producing any easterns. At this point I have a 1:1 yearlings and an adult female to work with. I sure do like the looks of these though, all three are very well marked. I'm trying to get in touch with the breeder and see if he has any adult males from the same line he wants to part with. That would be put me a year ahead.

Will do. You can use it if you like, but I should hopefully have some much better pics soon if you want to hold out.

I've got an adult male from Mecklenburg County, about 2.5 miles south of the Iredell County border.

Here he is as a juvie. He's about 3.5-4 feet now.

Let me know if you need him on stud duty

Thats one fine looking eastern Pierson. I really like the looks of the N.C. localities. I might take you up on your offer. I should find out soon whether I'll be able to get a mate for it or not. A friend of mine that owns a pet shop knows the breeder of the snakes I have but doesn't have his number. Next time he comes in for rats he's going to get his contact info for me.

Is that Florida King the one I'm thinking of?

Phil Peak Nov 09, 2004 08:17 PM

Thanks Sean. The Florida king in the pic is from Palm Beach county near Pahokee. Got him from Dwight earlier in the year. I will have to say, those Florida kings are some of the best feeding snakes I have ever been associated with. As you can see, the one in the pic hasn't been missing many meals.lol! The female snake has filled back out real nice after laying this year. The only problem with her is she has a tendency to shun her hide box and spend too much time in her water dish. The girl completely wrecks her box about every other day. The South Bay male I have is getting absolutely huge. His weight has probably doubled since last March.
