boaluvr123 Nov 09, 2004 04:50 PM

hello , i was wonedering if you guys could give me any tell tale signs other than color as to how i can tell if my new hog is a true one or not. i have compared the new one and my current , pure bred female , and have found some differences. the new male hogg has distincively bigger eyes than she duz . his color is also muich darker , even though he is in his dark phase. he also has a darker tail color than the female. i dont know if this would help , but im just trying to find out as much as i can before i breed them , thanx

There is only one true way to know for sure if a Hog is pure:
buy from a reputable breeder that can trace his/her lineage back to the original boas that were imported from the island (assuming that the importer is honest as well). Yours definitely looks like a true Hog, but you can never really know for sure. If it was sold to you as a pure Hog and you trust the seller, then I believe that you can breed this boa to your other Hogs without a problem.
Best of luck to you in the future!
