Help Need to find Frozen Feeders in O.C.

toshamc Nov 09, 2004 06:12 PM

I've got two new baby balls and they have been fed live up until now. I'm trying to find somewhere in Orange County or Southern California that sells frozen but haven't had any luck. I'd hate to spend $80 to have a package of 100 shipped from across the county and not have them eat them. Anyone have any suggestions or know somewhere local I can get them from?

Thanks

Try petco. I hear they sell frozen mice & rats.

See if you can find out about the local herp society. There's always someone in a herp society who's willing to sell off some surplus rodents. If you're having trouble finding a local herp society, I would first call the zoo, and then if that doesn't work, check the yellow pages for vets who specialize in exotics. One of those sources will lead you to the right place.
Cheers!

Their shipping cost is $26, and if you order alot you get pretty significant discounts. I've ordered all of my mice from there and have been very pleased.

Try all of the major brand stores, such as PetCo, Petsmart, Petmart... ect. They are incredibly overpriced though, so it is actually much cheaper to order alot of them than to just buy a few every week or so.

they're in texas so shipping wouldn't be too extreme to southern cali. They charge actual shipping, plus a $3 box fee, unlike some places that want $30 no matter what you order or where it goes.

Plus you can just do 2 day shipping and they'll be fine. That's what i've always done.

Also, ask your local pet shops if they can order any frozen pinkies. If they can't buy a live one and put it in your freezer.
