RHP's and high humidity

jrbl Nov 09, 2004 06:31 PM

Are RHP's okay for high humidity enclosures? I am going to build a new cage and thought RHP's would be a good way to heat it.THe humidity is going to be 65-100%. Can they be side mounted? Does anyone know of a good place to get them? Can you but RHP's that are not specifically made for reptiles cheaper? Thanks, jrbl

While I dont like to "endorse" a brand name, I have been in contact with Pro Products concerning their RHPs as I am going to be heating a large enclosure soon.
One question I asked was...Are your products viable in a high humidity situation, and they guaranteed my they are.
If you drop me an email I will forward you one of the emails which they expain their product in great detail.

I have to agree , whilethere are many different types RHP available today I have yet to find anyone as ready to help and give you the product you need not what they choose to sell you. Bob at proproducts IMHO is hands down the best choice there is name one other company that offeres a 10 yr ... yeah a 10 yr warranty on the RHP i havent found one yet so thats why i have and always will reccomend his products for RHP they just cant be beat and the peice of mind knowin he is sure enough of his product to stand behind it a decade down the road is all i need to know lol

Bob also told me the RHP should be mounted on the ceiling. He put it like this "Where does the heat come from in nature?"
