Need Help

girlzilla Nov 09, 2004 06:34 PM

Hi again!

When you see bad pet stores, to whom do you report them? There is a very bad one here in Philly.

I know I have posted about this before, and our intrepid rescuer from Forgotten Friends responded to me. Unfortunately, we contacted the Humane Society he recommended and they only deal with cases in Lancaster.

Any help, please? Thank you!

-Erin

Have you tried animal control? In my county (stanislaus, CA) I believe that's who would respond.

All pet shops have to have a license to sell animals. If they are not providing a humane environment they can loose their license after a certain number violations. The Humane Society I believe is the watch dog and should involved. If its a corporate run store than you have a lot more authority as the customer is always right, and they will genrally change things that customers complain about. I worked for PETCO several years and customer's input was implemented.
