Housing Two Boas Together

Niobex Nov 09, 2004 08:55 PM

Hi, there. I know this answer to this question has probably been posted ad infinitum and ad nauseam so I beg the forum's pardon and patience.

I have a huge cage for my 6 foot plus female boa. I also have a much smaller female Nicaraguan boa who has been living in a tank. She is about 3 and a half feet long. I really want to house the two of them together. Will there be any problem with the larger eating the smaller? They will continue to be fed separately. The poops differ enough in size so I know who each perpetrator is. Both snakes are disgustingly healthy and are fed once a week.

So, will it be all right to do this?

but with everything there are risks, just make sure you feed them seperateley and in another cage or tub so that when they are reintroduced they will not feel threatened by eachother or still in the "hunt " mood.
