Fom what I heard, it's not easy to ship to Canada. They are very strict and all paperwork has to have all the "i's" dotted and "t's" crossed if not it would be rejected especially if it is a CITES listed animal. I don't know all the details but Canada is definitely not easy to import into if you don't know what you're doing.

The difficulty has nothing at all to do with CITES.

It has to do with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency. Special permits have to be obtained from them, before one can import chelonians....and yes, the whole process is a major headache...
