dave, that looks like a bullsnake to me or possibly a sayi/affinis cross? nice looking pit either way though. nice reds on it......
Funny you should say that Dan.....because he was originally thought to be a Bull Snake that had some Gopher influence.....but after conversing with a few other people I concluded that it is indeed a Sonoran Gopher w/ perhaps some Bull influence.....the head is much too long for a Bull and the parent snakes who produced it are not near as big as Bulls can get.

dave, i was going by the rostral scale. it just seemed 'bullish' to me. fairly pronounced you know? either or, it's still a handsome animal that will become a magnificent looking adult. i would've probably bought it if i had seen it..........:>/
