I spend a lot of time on reptile forums, and its usually just the same questions over and over... bit today I got a new one!
Has anyone ever heard of this? The tail does not even look like it was ever nipped, just broken and bent back. Could heat have done that? The thing that bothers me is this person seems to think they did this on purpose...
I know KS won't let me link to another forum so I am going to copy his posts here:
About the full tail, I have a question for everyone. My girlfriend (after taken a few vet assisting classes) had my Nacho's tail curled to "avoid" infections, if this ok? I have heard it will straighten out later on, but is it ok for Nacho's tail to be curled?

It was to keep the bacteria out and stuff from "growing" on his tail, i was told. My girlfriend said that when he was little something happened to his tail and it was just to keep the bacteria from swarming. Or something of this nature. The petstore that we buy from is called Snakes they have 4 locations in Florida, they are a only Reptile store, really good at what they do. They are also really clean and care for their animals, so my girlfriend trusted their judgement.

I'm going to read up on it, My girlfriend told me that the tail should go back to the normal shape and nothing should be wrong, hopefully she is right.

I am guessing that it got injured on his tail as a hatchling and they wanted it to get better so they burnt and curled it, the tail is suposed to grow back to normal later in Nacho's life, if I can get a close up picture I will post it here.
