Shedding adult indigo

nazza Nov 10, 2004 04:54 AM

Hi all,
today my male indigo is breeding again (I have seen also an eversion of an hemipene and the emission of a white, very dense liquid), but what is strange is that he is shedding for the third time (first shedding was the 16 of september). He is a 6 years old big powerful indigo of about 240cm (should be more), but in the last month I've fed him often but few in order to prepare him for breeding. Your indigos have shed as mine? he is shedding more often then my baby colubrids, and female shed only 1 time.
Thank you
regards
nazzza

nazza, yes, for whatever reason they will shed repetiously sometimes......usually around this time of the year & usually the males. i have experienced this myself from time to time. no biggie so don't worry.........dan
