pellets causing discoloration in feces??

reiko Jun 30, 2003 01:21 PM

has anyone noticed this? I have not really had this with Carrick but today Gobi had some discoloration in her stool, she has just started eating pellets in the past few days, she never really took to them very well. yesterday she was snacking on quite a few red ones and today ther ewas quite a bit of red in her stool. Now this has just been today and it was normal before. I ask because i know blood in the stool can be a sign of coccidia but i figure with all the red she ate yesterday it could just be the pellets, any input? i think i will take a fecal to the vet this week to be sure (next time she gives us one), should get one done before she brumates anyhow, she did in august i think it was last year, but thought i would ask around as well...thanks a bunch!

Yes, mine have had techni-colored poo. I'm sure it's the dye used to color the pellets.
I've even seen lime green!

It's kind of weird. I haven't seen red yet though.
