This is really just a question out of curiousity as i dont have a Uro. But I want one someday

I know with BD's everyone says not to house your hatchlings and juvi's on sand, and many people dont even house their adults on sand. But I think most pictures of peoples Uro's in here, appear to be on sand.

What do people keep their hatchling and juvi Uro's on? Sand, or do most people recomend paper towels and such to reduce impaction? Is impaction not such a problem with Uros?

i like to have my adults on sand but i definitely keep the littler ones on paper towels. i just recently got a guy who is a juvie and i keep him on paper towels and probably will until he gets a bit older and learns to eat from his dish better

is there a size range when you x-fer to sand?

I keep my juvi on paper towels, and have heard fairly consistently that that is appropriate until they are 6 months to a year old. I am still a little fuzzy on how to determine when they are ready myself, so I cannot help you out there, but at least that gives a general guideline.
