Is it possible that this could be a scar from a burn. Burns often leave scars that darken pigment and the white looks like deeper scar also. Do you know if it was born like this?

Actually the spots on the Hogg are not burns at all. The scales are some form of discoloration but not liked burned scales. Almost the same way some of our ringer balls have the burnt orange, that is how they look. Most burns that I have seen on snakes are shriveled up and white, these are fully formed clear, black, and orange scales. The colors have been with her since a baby.

Thanks,
Wyatt

She is eating her first meal over at my place right now. :D

She really seems to love her rats! She is still somehow convinced that I'm conspiring to kill her but oh well. I'm sure she'll settle down (I know she's bound to be hungry). Man can that girl eat! haha!

She's a very beautiful boa. I was just wondering if the spots were just a pretty decoration of if anyone thinks she could possibly be a genetic carrier of some wicked cool morph or anything. Wyatt's right, these are NOT burn marks. If you want to see the difference, I'll get as extreme a close up as I can once she settles down and then I'll post a pic of the burned scales on the tail of my rescued ball python. Now her scales DO look like a burn as they look all melted together. :/
