Gutload Mealies?

bluebug32 Nov 10, 2004 02:30 PM

Hi guys,

Petco sells their mealworms in refrigerated styrofoam tubs that contain a wood shaving for the worms to burrow in. My question is, does this contain nutrients or is it more of a substrate for them? Should I be gutloading them before I give them to my baby leo? He eats mainly crickets (which I gutload and dust), but I'm going away for the weekend and want to leave him something to munch on until i return.

Thanks!

Beth

Yes you need to gutload all feeders, the sawdust is just a cheap shipping medium.

for good gutload recipes try Leolovers webpage or the forum sponsors webpages

Can I use the same gutload that I use for my crickets?
