dumb ? kinda bored

has anybody ever tryed to grow grass in their monitor cage ? there is a lot of dirt , light, and humidity and was thinking it woud look cool

oddly enough when I worked for a private zoo we did it with some b&w tegus and they are just as bad of borrowers but, Id say normally the grasss wouldnt have a chance

I got the sod that is grass squares that you can buy at any home improvement place and put it in a water dragon enclosure. It looked real good for a couple of months. Sod like this may even give the monitors something to borrow under if it is only on part of the dirt substrate. It would be interesting to see how it worked. A problem would be how to cut it when it grew tall.
