have a kingsnake that was recently purchased. Shes about 2 months old. She hasent tried to strike but seems very flinchy, jumpy. Active but scared. I know that this is going to be common in younger snakes especially california kingsnakes. But with frequent handling for at least 30 min to 1 hr a day. Just curious when she would start to not notice me not as much as a threat. And could possibly relax a little more. thank you!

It really depends on the individual snake. I have had some Cals that warm up after just a day or two of handling. And some that take weeks and weeks. Sorry that i am not more help

After 30 years of experience, and hundreds of Kingsnakes I've only owned one that stayed edgy - it was my WC Louisiana Speckled King snake. He thought he was a rattle snake LOL! But all the other 'mean' ones I've had tamed down within weeks at the longest. So I think the odds are definetely in your favor! Just hang in there, before you know it, he'll be chasing your finger (on feeding day) thinking it's food with no fear of the large body atttached to it LOL!
Good luck!
