So I use eggs to convince my Red Tegu to eat a little bit of fruit. I was just wondering what method of scenting people are using. I have been breaking the egg into a dish and stirring the fruit around in there and then putting it on a plate. Is that the "standard" way of egg scenting?

Just curious.

He gets the better of me most of the time anyway though. Although he will take a mouthfull of fruit or two, he usually just licks off all the egg! Smart little bugger

It really isn't scenting. It is feeding a soft or hard boiled egg(shell and all) and mixing, mashing, stiring in canned or fresh fruit. Rufus loves canned chunk pineapple, mixed fruit, fruit coctail. I buy the cheap, generic, low sugar stuff. Take raw apples and cook them in the microwave until they are soft. At about seven lbs, Rufus may get as many as three eggs plus fruit. Hope this helps.

Just to make sure i have the right idea...So just hard boil an egg, and then mash is up real good with pieces of fruit? I can do that
