geckobill2112 Nov 10, 2004 07:12 PM

hello
I hope someone out there can help me with this problem. I have enclosed a picture of my male sht Thor. He has a problem with the skin on his head and neck it looks to be dry and discoloring almost like a bruise. Has anyone ever run across this before?
Thanks
Bill

never seen it before. my guess would be maybe mites or fungal. Either way, I'd say a vet visit is def in order

aw poor thor

I wouldn't be too worried unless he was expressing the area is irritating him (rubbing against stuff) maybe give him a warm bath and rub some warm water on that area.

I've noticed that before with a few of my Leopards... That usually happend to mine, when they went through a "rough" shed cycle... (I think it has something to do with the skin that had to be peeled in my case).

The skin coloration went back to normal after the animals next shed.
