Weird Color on my Female Veiled

TheDrew1 Nov 10, 2004 09:16 PM

Lately ive been noticing that on my female theres an area (on her side between two sidebars) where shes greenish with some blue in it. Even when she gets stressed and turns black and brown that area stays the same area. Is she advertising her breeding readiness?

Thanks

How old is she? If she is around 6 months to a year or older. then she probably is starting to show her receptive colors. They will be robin egg blue streaks and or dots usually. Nothing to worry about!

that's what it sounds like - very pretty

Are you planning to breed? It is suggsted that you let them lay an infertile clutch first and to not breed too young. Just be sure you give her what she need to lay.
