Hey, I'm Moving and Need Some Advice

turtlesong Nov 10, 2004 11:27 PM

Hey, I'm moving and just need any imput as to how to best take care of my frogs so that they make the journey well. I have a little plastic container to put them in, but the trip is going to be 5 hours by bus.

I can take care of them on the way, have fed them this morning, but just wonder how you all help them to adapt. I may even have to stay at a temporary place until my apartment is ready, so I hope they don't get too stressed.

Need any comments about adapting your frogs to change, and to moving.

I would think that they should be fine. But then again ive never moved with a frog before.

It really helps if they can be in a "sheltered" container while moving. Meaning, I'd stay away from a clear deli cup or something see-through. When we moved, I put my frogs in non-see-through tupperware-type containers. Just make sure that they do not get bumped and jostled around alot during the trip. And always, always keep a bit of water in the containers so they don't dry up!
You could put wach frog in a small t-ware container, put both containers inside a small tank (10 gallon) and that sound work/.
