i have a ball python and a common boa,i have read that boas can live alongside other lizards and there will b no probs.would it b ok for me to house my 2 snakes together

do you mean othre snakes? not lizards.
Probably not a good idea, even though people do it anyway
you are talking about 2 different species of snakes here. why do you want to stress them out. besides the common boa is much bigger then a ball python. in my opinion not a good idea. 
If your referring to a "boa constrictor" or "red tail boa" it would mean making your ball python a snack over time. The size difference there is huge, and it would not turn out well.
Generally it is not a good thing to keep two different species together. Reasons being:
1. Different sizes
2. Different humidity/heat requirements
3. Different tempermant
If your snakes meet even one of those categories, it is not a good idea.
As to snakes and lizards, I would also not advise that either.
