Well i havnt been keeping crickets in some time,, but with a new baby on the way here we are back to keeping crickets of course. I do feed out silkworms but for a baby i need to feed both, if i fed only silksworms to a dragon thats gonna eat 50-60 a day ill be broke in no time! i plan to start him on pellets also in his salads, hes already eating salads so thats great, sure he will take to the pellets.

He is a hypoxorange X bloodxsnow, hes 6-7 weeks old and 7 inches i think we will go with the name "Daigh" (pronounced Dag) which is gaelic and means "flame or fire" but will have to wait and see

i am really not looking forward to crickets again, there seems too much humidity here by the ocean, although i dont feel it too much, the crickets certianly do..hope i can keep them alive, although the smaller ones seem easier to keep, so we shall see.....

Me too Reiko back to the 3/8 inch crickets for my baby. For my adults I rescently changed the majority of their diets to greens, and super worm, canned crickets and grasshoppers, and occasional wax worms and butter worms. I can't stand how much the butters and silkies are, bummer. I asked for a quantity deal for butters for 500 $57 bucks and for 1000 $94 bucks. Man can't afford that every three weeks.

yeah i know, it gets costly. I raised carrick on crickets silks and butters and when he was old enough i changed from crickets to silks with supers and butters of course with his salads. Wish silkies were more affordable that i can feed them instead of crickets altogether for the lil guy, they are so great, but he will have to do some of both, the little guys eat sooo much!

I have to feed numerous frogs and lizards, so when you have a chance and when there is one in town, go to the reptile shows. They sell tons of feeders for really good prices, and all kinds too. I got 100 crickets for 2.99. Usually it's a dollar somthing for 30.
