Is an under-tank heater (the stick-on type) suitable for a RES tank? This is a 20-long tank housing two tiny red eared sliders (bigger accomodations as they get older). We have rocks placed for climbing and basking, but there is no substrate on the bottom.

I'm going out today to get the heater, trying to decide whether I should just get a submersible heater (I'm worried that they'll eventually crack the glass) or an under-tank heater.

Thanks,
Leslie

Go with a Titanium heater, below is a link to bigalsonline for a 50 watt heater for $15.99, a 300 watt costs $19.99. These are great, they never break, even if you submerse them in cold water while theyre hot(although I dont recommend it, Ive seen it done).
