Different ways to sterilize wood

Hey everyone i was wondering wat different methods you all use to sterilize wood that u collect outside the pet store. Please respond with the steps that you take.

There a couple of ways to do it. Some people bake them in the oven at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Others may soak it in a water/bleach mixture (10:1 ratio) and then rinse with water thoroughly. I prefer the oven.

I too prefer the over, tho I baked for a few hours (I forgot it was there, don't do this as it may become a fire hazard).
