Different ways to sterilize wood

Hey everyone i was wondering wat different methods you all use to sterilize wood that u collect outside the pet store. Please respond with the steps that you take.

I dont think you could with any wood of a decent size. they are not sterile in the wild. Hose it off, let it dry and stick it in. Thats what I do

I would be more concerned with sterilizing wood found "inside" a pet store. The only thing I do with collected wood is spray it with proventimite. This will kill any kind of lice, mite, tick, spider, or insect.
