Different ways to sterilize wood

Hey everyone i was wondering wat different methods you all use to sterilize wood that u collect outside the pet store. Please respond with the steps that you take.

The costly way is to put it in a plastic bag (1-5 Gallon)and use the sugested amount of prevent-a-mite.They easy (but stinky)way is to wrap the wood in foil and bake it in the oven @ about 100 degs. or so .The first one is cool for big stuff but it will be costly at $25.00 a can -.If it will fit in the oven make sure no one is home as it can get VERRY stinky.I use the oven for the drift wood I pick up at the beach.Hope it helps.
