Different ways to sterilize wood

Hey everyone i was wondering wat different methods you all use to sterilize wood that u collect outside the pet store. Please respond with the steps that you take.

I have heard that boiling it is a good way but I've never tried it. You could probably search Google and find a hundred pages on this topic.
What kind of HL's do you keep?

actually, you don't need to do any of that.
there are natural occuring bacteria that will help with the nitrogen cycle in felled wood.

but, as there are some that are worried, just hose it off,
wash it in bleach, rinse with hose, and lay in sun for a few days. if it's winter, just wash it well. you don't need to bake it or boil it at all - as if it is for your HL, the uv or sun will take care of most bacteria in that sort of dry environment.
