What type of Heatpad would I use if the bottom of the cage is all wood? n/p

For what type of animal? What are you trying to achieve in the cage? Is the heat pad to go under the cage or in it. My opinion with wood: don't use a heat pad under it.. use a heat lamp or heat panel inside. Take advantage of the insulating properties of wood.
