My baby milk snake eyes became milky and looked like he was about to shed. its two days later and now he looks perfectly fine but there is no skin present. is he going to shed and be alright? is it harmful if they do not shed? hes humidity is 34%

usually when the eyes clear it's any day. what i do is mist their tanks a bit (not so it's dripping wet) and i'll even take my snakes out and mist them down as well as i'm holding them. my ghost corn shed soon after i misted him the other day and it was cool to watch!
some folks use a humid hide box but mine don't go in them. i've had great results in just misting them once their eyes clear. this is MY experience. hope it helps...

another thing that is helpful is to have something in the enclosure with a rough surface so the snake can rub on it to start the shed.
