Wax Worms...

MuscaDomestica Nov 11, 2004 11:55 PM

I just got a little Crested Gecko, little Conners seemed to be very thin when I got him so I started feeding him Wax Worms... I have read in some places that they are bad to feed regularly… is this true?

Wax worms can be bad if given to any reptile if not in moderation. Wax worms are junk food and full of sugars. If your gecko is thin, I would not say it is a bad thing as long as it is not fed as a staple food for a long period of time.

you will get the effect you want, they are extremely fattening, it is best to only feed in moderation.

just feed crickets and baby food or the crested gecko diet, those are all good food sources.

I agree with the crickets, baby food, CGD food sources. I actually mix my CGD into the baby food and they don't seem to mind. I give crickets in moderation and more as a "treat." That's what works for me.
