i know one way of sexing them is if it barks then its a male

does that mean females are not capable of making any sort of sound?

thanks

Females can make a release call for when they are not ready to breed and the male amplexes her. In this species that is usually the only call the female makes. If you find a copy of Care and Maitenance of White's Tree Frogs there are some pictures of the males and females.

do you have the links? i looked up a few caresheets but found no pics

so from what your saying, its impossible to sex them when their still young right? since both sexes are capable of making sounds

i've heard if you hold them and gently press against their chest, males will vocalize, but i'm not sure how accurate that test is

thanks
