Leptopelis Vermiculatus burrowing?

hatchbkcivic Nov 12, 2004 02:39 AM

I have 2 Leptopelis Vermiculatus (Globe Eye, Peacock, Tanzanian, etc... tree frogs). One is newer than the other. Oggie (older) burrowed once or twice when I first got him, but didn't again until after I got Toad. Toad burrowed right after I got him, but would come out every night to eat and then burrow again by morning. But now, Toad hasn't burrowed in a while, and Oggie has been burrowing all the time. But unlike Toad, Oggie doesnt come up every night, he just stays burrowed. It kind of worries me, but there is not a lot of info on them so I am wondering if anyone has noticed any behavior similar to this? Also, I believe they are both males (they have both called on separate occasions). Could this be a problem that they are both males? Please let me know what you think...

I just obtained 1.1 L.vermiculatus yesterday. The male burrowed almost exactly 24hrs after introducing them to the tank. The female seems much more comfortable in the enclosure. I have no idea if it will be a problem with two males. Do you know of any good sites for info on them? I don't know too much about them yet!
