PHEve Nov 12, 2004 11:04 AM

Okay guys, you know the precedures, hahahahaha when ya get a new species ya have to show all your lizard buddies !

Well, I have fallen for a new species, the Xenagama, he is superb, adult and 3 1/2 inches total. Great brick red color with a stressed out neon blue face in this pic.

I can't wait to see the chilren, have a female coming for him. The kids will be hard to find at these small sizes,

But hes very COOL indeed !

I read an article a while back in Reptiles about them and thought they were splendid. But..... I decided to go with a chuck instead as they were going for $1,000 at the time. He's a beauty. Can't wait to see the female. What type of personality does he have?

Hes very sweet for being new, LOL I can reach in and pick him up, he sometimes goes into a small burrow he has.

But all in all, I'm surprised he stays right out and basks when I walk by. I had heard they were not good as far as being handled, I think in no time he will be very tame.

I'm quote taken by this breed of lizard. Rates pretty high up there.

But that statment usually means Vonnie, that you like it enough to want to focus more heavily on the particular type to breed it.

If you held one you would see what I mean, like some sort of cute little POCKET PET , LOL You should see them run, with that funny little tail, just hysterical !

Hey hows the egg?

i am sure that they are really cute. i can't believe johne does not like their tails! anyway, i am not so sure about the egg. it kind of looks like it reinflated a little bit. i kind of have the feeling that there is nothing in it but i will give it more time. i really wanted an egg this year but now it will be even more heart wrenching if there is nothing in it since that was milly's last chance to live on genetically.
