Help?Possible dwarf

reptileking85 Nov 12, 2004 02:25 PM

My brothers friend bought a dragon about two months ago. He didnt want to keep getting crickets etc, so he gave it to us. It is two months old, eats like crazy, and has good weight, but is the size of a baby. At best he is 6 inches long. The kid had a 60 watt bulb, ten gallon tank, fed him a lot and dusted along with uv. This thing from looking at it looks like 7-8 bugs max, but downs like 20. Can it be a dwarf. IF not what else do you suggest. I have 8 of my own dragons who are kept under similar conditions, and same age, and tripe size. Please offer any suggestions

I bet the conditions were just not as good as you keep.

bet he starts growing to catchup to the rest.

low temp and not offering a lot of food would slow down the dragons ability to grow.

You positive its a bearded could be a rankins?

I also think it could be a rankins, but pacman101 forgot to tell you rankins dragos have a rounded head (not pointy like regular dragons).

So if it has a round head it is a rankins bearded.

and we will tell you if it is rankins cause if it is its most likely a healthy specimen.

I suggest getting a fecal done on this dragon. Though it may be a Rankins, it could also be infected with parasites which are robbing him of the nutrients he eats.

There are pictures of rankins on the internet, if you want to do a search on Rankins either in the photo gallery or internet, you should be able to compare them to the dragon in question.
